In dots display mode are these real values or calculated values?

Question :

In dots display mode are these real values or calculated values?

Answer :

It depends. At sample rates below the maximum sample rate and with zoom off, the dots are real points. At sweep speeds above where the maximum sample rate is reached, that require interpolation to supply record points, many of the points can be calculated values. Zoom or magnification also invokes interpolation to fill in displayed points between real sample points. Intensified Real points display mode intensifies the real points so you can tell where they are. Dots mode provides transparency, not real points. Dots mode turns off the vectors that might otherwise obscure other features in the display.
