Product(s) :

Integra Mainframe: 2701

Question : Can I use the 2701 in an operating system other than Windows such as Linux, Unix or DOS?

Answer: Yes. The 2701 uses standard TCP/IP protocols for communication. Any operating system with support for this protocol could establish a connection with the 2701. Once the connection is made, the instrument's SCPI commands which are outlined in the manual would be used to control the instrument.

At the present time, Keithley is prepared to support the use of the 2701 only from a Windows operating system. However, you will find a Linux example in the Download Center of this web site that demonstrates a socket connection to a 2701.
