What is the purpose of the Option 10 on the AWG400/500/600/700 series?

Question :

What is the purpose of the Option 10 on the AWG400/500/600/700 series?

Answer :

The option 10 substitutes a solid state flash memory disk in place of the normal hard disk. The purpose is to improve reliability in an ATE environment where you have 24/7 operation and the power may be switched on and off by main power switches rather than the AWG's On/Stdby switch. The other part of the option 10 is modified On/Standby operation. In a standard AWG, if power is interrupted by an external switch, the AWG will always be in the Standby mode when power is reapplied. With the option 10, the AWG will stay in the same On/Standby state as it was when power was interrupted.
