What is the difference between Step mode and Scan mode in the DMM Scan task in Excelinx-1A?

Question :

What is the difference between Step mode and Scan mode in the DMM Scan task in Excelinx-1A?

Answer :

What is the difference between Step mode and Scan mode in the DMM Scan task in Excelinx-1A?

Step - This mode requires a trigger event to advance to each channel in the scan list. In this mode the reading count is the total number of readings.

Scan - This mode requires a trigger event to advance to each scan. In this mode the reading count is the number of scans.

Suppose the scan list is set for 10 channels and the reading count is set for 10.

If in Step mode, 10 triggers would be required to go through all the channels in the scan list. Then the task would be complete. A total of 10 measurements would have occured.

If in Scan mode, each trigger would allow each channel in the scan list be to measured. But 9 more triggers would need to occur before the task would be complete. A total of 100 measurements would have occured.
