If TDS1000/2000 scope can be calibrated and used as a normal frequency counter+ can it be traced to NIST?

Question :

If TDS1000/2000 scope can be calibrated and used as a normal frequency counter+ can it be traced to NIST?

Answer :

Yes, it is traced to the accuracy of the Crystal time base in the oscilloscope, which is 50 PPM. The calibration routine is traceable to NIM (People Republic of China standards organization or NIST (United States standards organization). Remember the accuracy for this specification is a typical spec, therefore is not warranted.
