Can the Hard Disk (HD) be exchanged between different instruments?

Question :

Can the Hard Disk (HD) be exchanged between different instruments?

Answer :

The HD can be swapped between units with equivalent CPU board. Therefore the HD can be swapped between two units running Windows 2000. For instruments running Windows 98: They were shipped with one of two versions of the CPU boards. Here is a procedure for determining which version of the CPU board you have:

  1. Minimize the Oscilloscope Application.
  2. On the background, right-click My Computer->Properties. Alternatively, from the Windows Start Menu select Settings->Control Panel ; then double-click System. A System Properties window should appear, on first tab (General).
  3. On the older instruments, the field "Manufactured and Supported by:" should read "Tektronix." On the newer instruments, the field "Manufactured and Supported by:" should read "Tektronix,Inc (SF810 NLX)."
